Point-of-care ultrasound (POC) is a fast and simplified diagnostic method. Unlike traditional ultrasound examinations, it does not require a detailed assessment of organ morphology or complex measurements. This type of examination focuses on identifying clear and obvious deviations from the normal state.
POC lung ultrasound enables physicians to quickly confirm or rule out inflammatory changes, eliminating the need to refer the patient for further diagnostics. Importantly, the procedure is completely safe, repeatable, and takes only a few minutes. Moreover, it requires no prior preparation.
